Description
Juggernaut, Pinot Noir Russian River Valley
Steep hillside vineyards present the ultimate challenge. Mountainous terrain tests both the grower and the vine. But the results can be extraordinary.
Hillside vineyards have less access to water, with the rockier soil also holding fewer nutrients. These conditions stress the vines, resulting in the production of a fraction of the fruit of most vineyards. The harsh environment causes the vines to struggle, yielding fewer clusters and smaller berry size. Since most of the flavor resides in the grape skins, the result is berries that are loaded with rich, ripe, intensely concentrated flavors and complexity.
Hillside vineyards are special. So is the wine that is crafted from them.

Grapes are grown on hillsides, which can be difficult for the grape and the grower. The vineyards have less access to water which causes the vine to stress. This often results in smaller clusters but loaded with intense flavors. Whether you choose the cab or the pinot, you will not be disappointed.

Tasting
This Pinot Noir has been aged 14 months in French Oak Barrels in the Russian River Valley of California.
This wine is fresh and has a great mouth taste with red fruit, sumptuous strawberry, and ripe raspberry. The Juggernaut Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley is balanced with refreshing acidity and velvety tannins.
Once the wine opens up, on the pallet you’ll taste toasty oak, waffle cone, and vanilla. Aromas of earth tones, raspberry, and crushed violet petals fill the glass.
