‘The Critic’ is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot and sourced from several sub-appellations within Napa, including Mt. Veeder, Rutherford, and Atlas Peak. The wine was hand-harvested in early October and then aged for 10 months in 50% American and 50% French oak with a minimum of 1 month in bottle before release. The wine itself has a soft and approachable nose with hints of dark fruit and vanilla touch.

“We’ve had our eye on a Napa Valley Cabernet for some time now,” stated Don Opici, managing director of Opici Wines. “There is still strong growth being shown in this category in the US market and we felt that The Critic was a great opportunity for us to enter this universe. Not only is the wine a tremendous value, but the packaging is sleek and stands out on the shelf. We are very excited about the potential this new brand poses for our company.”
